In June 2009 we worked with 4 classrooms in Chester and Hampton Falls, NH to plant over 100 sugar maple seedlings in both towns. Last year's ice storm took its toll on our beautiful maple trees, and we figured that the link to maple syrup would make this species more attractive to middle schoolers...
Woodruff PT supplied the seedlings, the students and staff provided the labor. We plan to extend this offer to all grade levels at Chester Academy in the Spring of 2010, with a goal of 400 trees (of various species)planted. If you'd like a seedling for your home in the area, please contact us and we'll be glad to set one aside for you.
All of us need to start somewhere, so last year we started with planting 200 trees in 2 towns in NH.
In 2010 we will have linked up with American Forests to support a program of re-forestation across the country. For every new patient we evaluate in our office, we will plant 2 trees somewhere in the US.
Update: We added 62 more trees during May, for a total of 324 trees so far this year!

Effective January 1, 2010, each time we perform an evaluation at Woodruff PT, we will plant 2 trees in American Forests.
